Clip-On Man Buns Are Proof That the Trend Has Gone Way Too Far

When the man bun trend started to take off, we were initially endeared to it. After all, a hot guy is even hotter with well-coiffed hair. Jared Leto's #manbraid take on the look made it even sexier. We laughed at spinoffs of the trend like dog buns (cute!) and politician buns (goofy!). But now we're not laughing, because Groupon ruined the style for everyone.

The coupon site is now selling clip-on man buns, "for the man who wears many hats, but no bun." We kind of hope Groupon is playing a massive joke on us with this product. It actually might be, because of the tongue-in-cheek marketing copy (it recommends "putting it on when you smell fair-trade coffee or hear a banjo"). Maybe it just managed to get a lot of these leftover from hipster Halloween costumes. But the fact that over a thousand have been purchased is mind-blowing. What was once a thing of beauty has now become a mockery. It's just not right.

Read on to get a closer look at this bizarre product. And for those who are interested in buying one, note that it only comes in blond, brown, and black (sorry, redheads!), and you must provide your own bobby pins.
